A healthy, confident mouth is essential when spreading the word on the joys of health and fitness. Can’t be an ambassador of healthy living when you’re not comfortable speaking to people because you lack confidence in the health of your mouth. If I’m ashamed to speak or smile how am I going to get my message across? The simple answer is, I’m not.
Many people believe exercising and eating healthy is a chore and something too difficult and laborious to make a real part of their everyday lives. Basically, many people believe living healthy is just not any fun and requires too much sacrifice, so why bother. So I need my big personality, abundance of energy and big smile to convince the unbelievers that living a healthy life is not only rewarding, but fun as well.
I speak to people on a daily basis about the ways they can live more healthy productive lives. They expect me to embody the lessons I’m trying to impart to them. Having a smile that’s not bright, or breath that’s..um…questionable doesn’t help with that. My mouth is my bullhorn and ultimately what’s going to convince people that making small, regular, healthy changes in your life will ultimately lead to having the full, productive life they always wanted.
Your mouth is more than just teeth and gums, it’s your most important feature when it comes to expressing yourself and engaging with the world. The Crest & Oral-B Life Opens Up Project will highlight individual stories that showcase how a healthy mouth has played a role in opening up to life and to the world. www.LifeOpensUpProject.com
